Te Rūnanga O Ngāti Pikiao Trust was established in 1987 as an amalgamation of Ngāti Pikiao East and West Trusts, with the purpose of improving health and well-being for the people of the Ngāti Pikiao rohe.

The rūnanga maintains its focus as an iwi organization that is committed to ensuring Ngāti Pikiao thrives, prospers and influences where every pēpi, is given the best start in life.
